Lance has over 40 years of experience and is currently Director, Investment and Innovation at the Liverpool Innovation Precinct, in South Western Sydney and was previously Head of Global Marketing at ResMed, a predominantly new product development role. He has Masters Degrees in Clinical Biochemistry, Business Administration and Commercial Law, is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chairs the boards of Navi Medical Technologies and Lenexa Medical.

Lance currently serves on an Expert Advisory Group for the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council, is an Advisory Board Member for MedTech Research Translator in New Zealand, a Specialist Advisor for the Federal Government Clinical Translation and Commercialisation MedTech grant program and mentors for numerous start-up accelerator programs.

His career began as a Clinical Biochemist, spending 23 years in diagnostic pathology and with Abbott Laboratories. He is a former National President of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists.
